American Samoa and Samoa Hit by Tsunami
A powerful quake in the South Pacific hurled massive tsunami waves at the shores of Samoa and American Samoa, flattening villages and sweeping cars and people back out to sea while leaving many dead and dozens missing. An earthquake with magnitude of 8.0 struck 6:48AM (local time), Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Residents fled to higher grounds but after few minutes, they were engulfed by four Tsunami waves of 4 to 6 meters high that runs to 1.5 kilometers from the shore. Mexico Plane Hijacked by Bolivian Preacher
It’s a 9-9-9 plane attacked! An Aeromexico plane was hijacked by a Bolivian-born preacher, Wednesday, September 9, 2009. According to Public Security Minister Genero Garcia Luna, the plane was still en route from Cancun to Mexico city when the hijacker told the crew that he had and would blow the plane up unless he was allowed to speak to Mexican President Felipe Calderon. Jose Flores Pereira who was born in Sta Cruz, Bolivia, he just wanted to warn the president regarding his vision that major earthquakes will hit Mexico. The 112 passengers of the Flight 576, however, did not know about the hijacking until the plane landed and the captain told them about it. Ka Erdy’s Burial on Monday
The executive minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo will be interred temporarily on Monday at 12:00 noon at the Iglesia ni Cristo Tabernacle while the mausoleum where his body will be transferred is still under construction. “The said mausoleum will be built near the monument of the late Brother Felix Manalo, also within the grounds of the Iglesia ni Cristo Central Complex,” Brother Bienvenido Santiago said in a statement.. The Philippine president, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, declared September 7 as a non-working holiday. And according to Press Secretary Cerge Remonde, she will attend the interment. 5 Dead, 900 Rescued from Listing Superferry 9
A total of 964 passengers and crew were on board with the Superferry 9 when it left the General Santos port bound for Iloilo at 8:45am Saturday. However, as it sailed off the Southern Zamboanga Peninsula, the ferry started to tilt terrifying passengers and sent others to jump into the water. According to some passengers, the ship was already tilting at midnight of Saturday. But they were told to be calm and that the situation was fine. Authorities also said that the Superferry 9 crews tried to save the ship. But on the early dawn of Sunday, the ship listed more angle which caused passengers to panic. Chupacabra Found with Photo – Video
It was reported that a chupacabra has been captured and taken picture / photos even videos and is even prepared for stuffing. A former student of the Blanco Taxidermy School captured a dead hairless like cayote that many believed to be the chupacabra by poisoning it. According to Lynn Butler, the livestocks of his cousin were attacked by a kind of animal that killed them by draining them with blood. So he placed traps that contains poison that lead to the capture of it. He brought it to the taxidermy school. However, the teacher of the school thought that what has been captured was not a chupacabra although the descriptions are similar to that of the chupacabra. The state-of-the-art passport, ePassport, has been launched during the 111th founding celebration of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of the Philippines. The first Filipino to have the ePassport is no other than President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo with the serial number EA0000001. The security features of the ePassport includes a hidden encoded image, holographic lamination, and the tamper-proof IC chip that stores the personal data of the holder and his digital photo. The ePassport can be read using the chip reader which is already used by authorities controlling the borders.
