Submarine communication cables within the APCN 2 (Asia-Pacific Cable Network) which connects countries in the Asia Pacific region of which Philippine landing point is in Batangas Bay, Batangas City, was broken due to the bad weather. The fault occurred in between China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore yesterday and affects the communication services of PLDT and SMART.
Smart’s mobile subscribers may experience difficulties in communicating their loveones abroad and those who are using Smart Bro and Smart Bro Plugit will experience slow connection when visiting websites hosted abroad.
On the other hand, PLDT is currently re-routing traffic to the other cable system.
It’s the second time since 2006 the internet connection of PLDT and Smart was affected by the fault in the submarine fiber optic cable system due to the natural problems. In December 2006, the fault was caused by the earthquake happened in Taiwan.

The first Filipino to have the ePassport is no other than President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo with the serial number EA0000001.
The security features of the ePassport includes a hidden encoded image, holographic lamination, and the tamper-proof IC chip that stores the personal data of the holder and his digital photo.
The ePassport can be read using the chip reader which is already used by authorities controlling the borders. And it is also noted that there are more than 60 countries using the ePassport already.

However, observers saw struggles from the people behind Google making the search engine better to maintain its market share, perhaps increasing its market share and avoiding the threat of Microsoft’s Bing that currently getting higher market share after the deal with the Yahoo was announced.

In my inbox, I also received an email coming from the system of the Philippine Blogs Award website. I was required to fill the form to make the nomination of my blog final.
But what’s the point of joining the Philippine Blog Award?
Actually, the blog was nominated on this kind of Award festival twice and it’s the third time. And I don’t think my blog will be chooses even just one award. I think, the award is just for me and I don’t deserve it.
Why?

Why?

Well, the blog is just a crap. I blog there to develop my writing skills and I am quite successful on that although my writing skill is not as good as those copy writers out there. But at least there’s a great improvement.

But the real problem is my writing is not good for a contest especially this Philippine Blog Award thing. This kind of award is just for those who are better writer, better designer and those who steak on the topic. While if you’ll look at the design, the writings and the topic of the blog, you can tell how disoriented I am is.

Anyway, if you are a blogger and a Filipino citizen, I think, you can join the Philippine Blog Awards. Just go head to philippineblogawards.com.ph.
