After the death of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the name “Curt Schilling” became the buzz in the internet.
But who is Curt Schilling?
In the Wikipedia entry for the Curt Schilling, it was stated that “Curtis Montague Schilling (born November 14, 1966 in Anchorage, Alaska) is a former American Major League Baseball right-handed starting pitcher. He helped lead the Philadelphia Phillies to the World Series in 1993 and has won World Series championships in 2001 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and in 2004 and 2007 with the Boston Red Sox. Schilling retired with a career postseason record of 11–2.”
What make his name a buzz today?
Well, according to the report, Curt Schilling is interested of the Senate Seat that Senator Kennedy vacated upon his death. Rumors said that Mr Schilling will be running for that seat under the Republican on the special election that will be held early 2010.
The examiner recalled “Schilling campaigned for Sen. John McCain for President in 2008 and President George W. Bush in 2004. For the 2010 election, Schilling has pitched his support for Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker, a socially liberal Republican.”
If he’ll successfully get the seat, then that would mean a change in the Senate seat because for a long time, the Senate is ruled by the Democrats.
