My Thoughts:
The body of the late President Corazon “Cory” Aquino has been laid to its final destination. Thousands of Filipino mourned for the former president.
Since the early morning of this day, television networks aired the live coverage of the activity related to the burial. From the Catholic Cathedral to the procession and to the burial.
I’m sorry to tell you that I was not one of the Filipinos who mourns for the president. It’s not because I hate her. It’s not because that I don’t have the heart for her. But it’s because of my belief that all men will die in their own time and I don’t consider the mourning for them as the best thing to do for them.
Well, I know it’s hard for us if one of our loveones dies. And with the death of the former president, it seems that we lost someone who is important to us. And I also understand that it’s our own social obligation to support those who are left behind by someone who died.
However, I just couldn’t stay longer in front of the TV watching the live coverage of the burial ceremony for the late former president Corazon Aquino.
I know, some of you who read this journal will be embarrassed about the feeling that I had for the burial ceremony. I’m sorry but it’s just me.
