Submarine communication cables within the APCN 2 (Asia-Pacific Cable Network) which connects countries in the Asia Pacific region of which Philippine landing point is in Batangas Bay, Batangas City, was broken due to the bad weather. The fault occurred in between China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore yesterday and affects the communication services of PLDT and SMART. Smart’s mobile subscribers may experience difficulties in communicating their loveones abroad and those who are using Smart Bro and Smart Bro Plugit will experience slow connection when visiting websites hosted abroad.
