However, as it sailed off the Southern Zamboanga Peninsula, the ferry started to tilt terrifying passengers and sent others to jump into the water.

According to some passengers, the ship was already tilting at midnight of Saturday. But they were told to be calm and that the situation was fine. Authorities also said that the Superferry 9 crews tried to save the ship. But on the early dawn of Sunday, the ship listed more angle which caused passengers to panic.

At around 2:00am Sunday, the ship captain finally told the passengers to abandon the ship.

As of writing this post, at least 5 people were confirmed dead and 900 were rescued. And there are more or less 60 people still missing or unaccounted for.
